Review For Test


Vocabulary
  • Columns- Identified by letters near the top of the window; Lettered from A to Z, then AA to AZ to BA to BZ, and so on.
  • Rows- Identified by numbers down the left-hand side; numbered from 1 to 65,536.
  • Cells- Intersection of a row and column.
  • Cell refrence- The column letter and row number used to identify a cell (B2)
  • Active cell- A cell with a solid outline around it. The current or selected cell.
  • Name box- shows the location of the active cell.
  • Formula box- where the contents of the active cell are displayed.
  • Global cell- Highlights the entire spreadsheet.

Parts To Excel Window

  • Name box- Found under the formatting tool bar.
  • Title bar- Found at the top of the page, shows the display name of the document.
  • Menu- Has, File Edit, View Insert, Format, Tolls, Data, Window, Help.
  • Scroll Bar- The bar that you move up and down to see information out of range.
  • Standard Tool Bar, Spell check and such.
  • Formatting Tool Bar- where you edit text, font size, alignment, anything that has to do with changing the way the document looks.
